April Wheel 2018 Newsletter

BY: Susan Latimer0 COMMENTS CATEGORY: Newsletter

Dear people of St. Catherine’s,

Dear people of St. Catherine’s,
We are now in the great 50 days of Easter – the season where we celebrate the Risen Christ and his presence among us in a particularly focused way. I invite you to do this by looking, every day, for signs of new life around you and in you.  New hope, new joy, renewed hope and joy. All of this comes with the remembrance of Christ’s resurrection. April in Florida brings us beautiful clear ( usually ) and temperate weather so that it is easy to enjoy the glory of God’s creation. Even though we don’t have a real winter, we can still look for signs of new life in creation all around us. We can be alert for signs of new life and hope in the people around us, in our communities, in our world. We can concentrate on these good things, and give thanks to God. This April we will celebrate with three youth/young adults who will be baptized on April 29th, and several other young adults and older adults who will be confirmed, or be received from the Catholic church, or do a renewal of baptismal vows. Join us for the 10 a.m. service on April 29th! This day will also include a picnic lunch ( pig roast ) outside, a fundraiser for our J2A group for their summer pilgrimage.
Blessed Easter to you all!

In Christ,
Mother Susan+
