I welcome you to our website and hope that you will come join us for worship soon!
St. Catherine’s is a parish diverse in views but united in our worship of God. Worship is the heart of our parish. We welcome all who are seeking God or a deeper knowledge of God. We are a community coming from diverse religious backgrounds: from Roman Catholic, to cradle Episcopalians, to Southern Baptists; from Orthodox to non-denominational to no religious upbringing – all coming together to glorify God. Our worship is in the Episcopal / Anglican tradition. We value the beauty of the liturgy and music, and the participation of the people in our worship.
St. Catherine’s is a loving parish family. We agree to disagree on many things but we always agree that relationships and reconciliation are of prime importance. We have many opportunities for you to get to know others in smaller groups: supper clubs, book study groups, Wednesday bible study, sitting at table together for breakfast on Sunday after the 10 a.m. service, volunteering for work days, or working on commissions or committees.
St. Catherine’s is a place of deep prayer. We pray for each other, and for the world. We offer prayers for the community and the world in every worship service. We offer teaching on several kinds of contemplative prayer, including Centering Prayer, Prayer of the Heart, Lectio Divina, Movement/Gesture prayer.
I invite you to join us for one of our worship services. I invite you to “try us on for size” for a few weeks, to discern if this community is one that would be life-giving for you. I invite you to set up an appointment with me for a conversation about this place, or your spiritual life.
Blessings to you on your journey.
